The Lucas device is a chest compression system, designed to perform CPR instead of one of the care providers on scene. The device performs CPR accurately, and with no human fatigue setting in, while freeing-up first responders to perform other critical life-saving duties.
In case of cardiac arrest the device is placed on the patient, and the chest compressions are performed at the proper rate. We aspire to have every Ambulance equipped with this life-saving device.
