Life-savers messengers

Wolt delivery drivers are an everyday sight, seen zipping across Israel from Kiryat Shmona in the north, to the Red Sea port of Eilat in the south

With 20,000 riders and drivers who are in constant contact with the public, it seemed only natural for a partnership with Magen David Adom.
MDA, along with the Maccabi Haifa soccer team and a number of their stars, held a training session for 200 Wolt delivery drivers in northern Israel, who will join 1,000 others who have already received life-saving training and equipment. Since the start of the joint project with Magen David Adom, trained Wolt drivers have made over a quarter of a million deliveries.
One delivery, saw Ilan Boaron, a Wolt driver and MDA-trained volunteer, assist a woman in labor and while on his way with a pizza, ended up delivering a baby instead!
"Wolt's collaboration with MDA gives our drivers the chance to save lives," said Eliya Yosefian, Head of Operations at Wolt Israel. "It could happen when they're out delivering, or just going about their daily lives. And now we have another 200 drivers ready to save lives in the north of Israel, joining 1,000 more of their colleagues."

MDA Director General Eli Bin welcomed the new venture, adding 200 life-savers to the streets, and strengthening the resilience of those in the north of Israel. "The new volunteers will have the skills and equipment to provide first aid even before the arrival of our ambulances and help save more lives."
