At a ceremony held on Thursday, February 13th, a bullet-proof ambulance was inaugurated for the benefit of the residents of Beit Arieh in Samaria. The ambulance was a generous contribution from the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
This donation strengthens MDA's (Magen David Adom) ability to respond and handle the events in the vicinity of the settlement of Beit Aryeh and the Samaria region.
This bullet-proof ambulance is the first of five ambulances that will strengthen MDA's capabilities nationwide and help save lives in Israel. The ceremony was attended by the head of the Beit Arieh Regional Council, Mr. Sharon Alfasi; Mr Safwan Marich, Head of Security and Emergency at IFCJ, Gil Moskowitz, Head of Operations at MDA; Haim Dori, Director of the Yarkon District at MDA; Orly Ariel, CEO of Israeli Friends of MDA; Gandy Dovinsky, Director of the Ariel MDA station; and other distinguished guests.
Orly Ariel, CEO of IFMDA: "The IFCJ has been MDA's long term strategic partner in saving lives, which assists in realization of Magen David Adom's life-saving needs for the benefit of the people in Israel. This partnership grew even stronger after October 7th, with the donation of 5 bulletproof ambulances, enabling MDA teams to respond under fire in the areas of the Gaza envelope and Northern Israel. On behalf of the people of Israel, we wish to extend our deepest gratitude to the IFCJ for your contribution to Israel's national resilience, and your activities for strengthening Israel's supporters among Christians all over the world, which is much needed at this time."
Eli Bin, CEO of MDA: "Bullet-proof ambulances are an important part of Magen David Adom's life-saving system. They enable us to safely reach areas where there is danger, protecting both patients and MDA teams. Thank you IFCJ for your support with the donation of this, and 4 more ambulances. Together, we will continue to improve and expand MDA's emergency vehicle fleet in order to reduce emergency response times and ensure the medical security of the citizens of Israel."
