MDA is preparing to activate a national contingency plan and equip ambulances, medi-cycles and volunteers with 2000 advanced monitors, in the total sum of 10 million Shekels.
Currently, only Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICU's) are equipped with such monitors. These advanced devices enable continuous monitoring of the patient's vital signs; blood pressure, saturation, pulse, temperature, and EKG. The monitors transmit all of the patient's data directly to MDA's emergency medical call center (101).
Thus, we can ensure that each patient receives close medical supervision and tailored care, even if the teams are delayed outside the ER, at the patient's house or in the field. Professional advanced monitors make the difference between life and death.
