Shir graduated "Mekif Tet" high school in Ashdod. Studied in a master class, graduated with honors and aspired to fulfill her dream and study medicine after the army.
Shir was a MDA volunteer for 5 years, which started as part of a personal commitment. She took a medic course and continued to volunteer far beyond the required. Even on the weekends, when she returned home for vacation from the army base, after two grueling and exhausting weeks, she would not give up a shift at the MDA.
When Shir joined the medic course, she was focused on her desire to become a part of the regional division and serve as a medic on an intensive care ambulance. To be always at the front and handle the most difficult cases. She knew how to initiate and support both her friends and her soldiers, for whom she had to conduct numerous practices in order to maintain their operational and professional competence.
Her friends from the IDF and MDA medical teams testify about her: "Shir's curls and smile cannot be forgotten, Shir filled the room with her presence, always giving the right advice at the right time.
Saving lives was her core value and she sought to volunteer and help in any way possible. Shir always put the needs of others before her own and gave endless love to every person."
"Shir loved the field of medicine so much and dreamed of becoming a doctor. She volunteered wherever she could help people and was an excellent student. She loved sports and dancing and was the healthiest person I know."
