Tuval Yaakov, the son of Michal and Zuriel, born on 3rd 28 Av 5573 (26.08.2003). His nicknames were "Tobi", "Tovalim".
He was a mischievous and restless student who always wanted to blossom.
He volunteered in the Young Counselors Program (Madatzim), Young Field Instructor Program (Mashatzim), and later at Magan David Adom.
He was all in, gave his utmost best in everything he did.
As an instructor, he always provided support to his trainees and other instructors. He didn't indulge favoritism because he saw all as equal.
Tuval made sure that in every action everyone would smile and laugh and never left them tired for a moment.
As an MDA volunteer, he made sure to engage in everything: providing first aid, learning from his friends, volunteering and helping others.
As part of his contribution to the public, he donated hair as a donation to oncology patients.
Tuval played the guitar and always charmed his friends.
Everyone knew that the bicycle he loved to ride brought him peace and quiet. He loved to ride in the field on Friday mornings, take pictures of nature, and enjoy the sunrise in peace with a cup of coffee on top of the mountain. This is how he expressed his love for nature and his homeland.
Liel Evgi, MDA EMT and chair of the volunteer branch committee at the Kiryat Gat MDA station, paid tribute to him:
"I met Tuval z''l when I was his instructor in the first aid course, when he just arrived at the station as a teenager with a glint in his eyes and a desire to contribute to the community and save lives. Since then I have known a special person, who is the first to volunteer for any task and who always wants to help and assist. Even after enlisting, he would continue to do shifts on ambulances on the weekends when he was on vacation from the army. He really liked the social activities both here and throughout the city. May his memory be blessed".
Haim Karadi, MDA Director of the Lachish region:
"Tuval loved social activities very much and only looked for every opportunity to help, assist and contribute to everyone who needed. The MDA family has lost a dear and beloved volunteer, whose absence is already felt throughout the region. We are deeply saddened by his death and hold his dear family close."
Tuval loved his 3 dogs, and they were excited to see him when he returned from the military base.
He was an amazing cook, leaving everyone jealous of the delights he prepared.
Tuval worked at McDonald's, always striving to be the best in all he did. He was a man of order and never compromised on that. He resigned in order to enlist in the IDF.
He enlisted on March 28, 2022, Kav Hei be Adar,Tashpad, as part of the 53rd Battalion of the 188th Brigade in the IDF Armored Corps.
He fell in battle in Sajaya province in Gaza, on the 21st day of Kisllev, Tashpad ,04.12.2023, during the "Iron Swords" war, giving his life for the peace and security of Israel.
