At the heart of Magen David Adom (MDA) Jerusalem Station, a vibrant hub of lifesaving activity, thrives a remarkable community.
As a token of appreciation and gratitude for the dedicated paramedics, dispatchers, volunteers and emergency response teams who serve this station and provide emergency medical care around the clock to the people of Jerusalem and the surrounding areas, a first-of-its-kind Appreciation Lounge was established.
Between emergency calls, difficult rescues, and exhausting shifts, the life-saving emergency team members can step into a warm, welcoming lounge designed to help them recharge. With its warm lighting, natural wood counters and refreshment stations, the lounge provides a place of rest, comfort and renewal, where the rescue teams can recharge physically and emotionally before returning to the field and continuing their sacred mission of saving lives.
This lounge is the first initiative of its kind within Magen David Adom stations nationwide. More than a break room, this special space was created as a token of gratitude and recognition for those extraordinary men and women for their endless dedication, unwavering commitment, and lifesaving work.
This Appreciation Lounge is far more than a refreshment station. It is an emotional anchor and a place of remembrance, dedicated to the memory of loved and cherished ones who are no longer with us, like Roni Chaya z’l , the pure and innocent baby girl, the daughter of Hanania and Tamar Shachar, and our heroic soldiers and MDA volunteers from the Jerusalem region who fell in service to the nation: Omer Van Gelder, Elkana Neulander, Noam Raz, Yitzhak Zeiger, Amir Tzur, and Amishar Ben David. Their photographs, stories, and words of inspiration, proudly displayed throughout the space, serve as a constant reminder of courage, sacrifice, and devotion to others.
Today, we invite you to become a partner in sustaining this meaningful initiative.
We need your help to keep this place operating 24 /7 for the benefit of our teams.
Your donation will be used to directly support the ongoing operation of the lounge, including the purchase of supplies and refreshments (coffee, milk, cereals, frozen drink syrups, hot snacks, and more) in addition to maintaining the equipment, technology and infrastructure of the lounge.
Every contribution, large or small, helps ensure that Jerusalem’s lifesavers have a place that restores their pride, renews their spirit, and gives them the strength to keep moving forward and saving lives.
 The Appreciation Lounge was established and funded thanks to the generosity of private donors. It is a private initiative for the benefit of MDA’s volunteers and staff at the Jerusalem MDA station.

All donations are managed and supervised by the Israeli Friends of Magen David Adom Association and are used exclusively for the operation, maintenance, equipment, supplies, and inventory for the MDA Appreciation Lounge to benefit the  MDA employees and volunteers in the Jerusalem region.
All donations are tax-deductible in accordance with Section 46 of the Israeli Income Tax Ordinance.
