A Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) enables the paramedics to perform a wide range of life-saving emergency procedures. Upgrading Oranit's existing ambulance to a MICU will make it possible to provide the life-saving care on the scene and prior to arriving to the nearest hospital, thus dramatically increasing the chances of survival.
Magen David Adom is not funded by the state, and the lives of our loved ones and ourselves are in our own hands.
We, the residents of Oranit and the area, all need to pitch in for ourselves and our loved ones!
Oranit is located in the Shomron region, with approximately 3,000 families, and expected to grow to up to 4,500 in the future.
Currently, the residents of Oranit receive life-saving services from Magen David Adom's ambulance, and when needed, are transported to the nearest hospital.
The upgrade will inculde:
1. Corplus 3- constantly monitors the patient and when needed, administers electric shocks to the heart.
2. Lucas- Automatic device which perfoms cardiac massage in variable conditions.
3. Automatic ventilation device- allows constant ventilation in variable conditions. Using the ventilation device frees the paramedics to administer other life- saving procedures.
4. ALS kit
This equipment will enable MDA teams to provide enhanced life saving care even before arriving to the nearest hospital.
Donat now and help us save lives!
Lucas- performs cardiac massage instead of the staff Corpuls- monitors and treats the patient on the move
