MDA operates with the constant goal of improving response times to emergency calls and to initiate treatment as quickly as possible.
To facilitate this, the organization has established a Medi-cycle emergency first responder unit of scooters.
The scooter, which is driven by a paramedic, can get through traffic faster than the Standard Ambulance or MICU and provides pre-hospital care.
It contains life-saving equipment, including a defibrillator, an oxygen tank, and other essential medical equipment.
The rapid response of this unit has proven to increase the survival and recovery rates of patients in critical moments following their illness or injury.
All members of this unit are volunteers and do not receive any financial compensation.
